Farewell from the Ofili-Udo family
Our uncle was a great man. Our late father’s brother and close confident. In all our years growing up as teenagers, a day never passed by without hearing our dad on the phone say, “Hello, Ben.” They were so close, always discussing issues and helping each other one way or the other. We will always remember him with fond hearts and will cherish all the good memories we shared with him.
We always had lots of good regards for him and he always had his doors open to us and gave a listening ear to all our issues.
He had a beautiful sense of humour, but at the same time had no patience for unserious people. We will miss him a lot, but God loves him more and has called him home.
Uncle Oka, Okunwa Mba as we fondly called you... may your soul continue to rest at the bosom of the Lord.
From the family of Late Chief C. Ofili-Udo (Oboli Boja)
Tribute to my Beloved Uncle
My beloved uncle, where will I start? You were my Father, Uncle, Brother... my everything. Your advice me on several issues and you are always right. You did not want me to suffer or experience agony. You contributed immensely towards the upkeep of my old mother whom you always called your brother’s wife. You were so generous to so many people in our kindred and always came to the rescue of the oppressed and the defenceless.
Your death was a big shock, but I am sure you lived a good life while on warch and you are now with the Creator.
Rest in peace with the Creator.
